Zagreus winery is a modern complex with fully completed cycle for production beginning with the grape and finishing with a bottle of wine. It is equipped with up-to-date fermentation machinery that allows optimization and control over the processes of vinification, ripening, stabilization and bottling.
The laboratory is equipped with modern appliances allowing precise mechanical, chemical and microbiological control of the raw materials and the final output.
The first vines at Zagreus winery were planted in 1998.
Now they cover an area of 120 ha.
The varieties are Mavrud (50 %), Cabernet Sauvignon (20 %), Syrah (20 %) and Merlot (10%).
The winery was built in 2004.
Zagreus winery is located in the Thracian valley (South Bulgaria) near Plovdiv and Asenovgrad.
We do not use any herbicides or pesticides in the vineyards. Since 2010 the vineyards are cultivated according to the directives of the European Union for organic production.
From 2010 all vines grown under regulations of the European Union organic production.
